Directions
Combine yeast, sugar, milk and water in a small bowl. Cover and stand in a warm place for about 10 minutes or until frothy.
Sift flour and salt into a large bowl, add combined yeast mixture and oil; mix into a soft dough.
Knead dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover tightly, stand in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead until smooth. Divide into 8 pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Put the rolls on a greased oven tray, cover loosely with a tea towel and stand in a warm place about 20 minutes or until doubled in size.
Brush rolls with a little extra milk and sprinkle with combined cornflour and extra flour.
Put the rolls in a cold oven, turn to 190°C/fan 170°C and bake for approx 25-30 mins or until rolls are browned and sound hollow when tapped.
