Sunflower bread with molasses



    Step 1

    Put all ingredients except for sesame seeds in a bread maker and turn on the program “dough”. Alternatively make the dough in a food processor or by hand. Leave covered until it doubles in size, then tip out onto a floured worktop and knead briefly, then shape into a smooth ball.

    Step 2

    Line a baking sheet with baking paper and sprinkle some sesame seeds in the middle, then roll the dough ball in the sesame seeds. Leave the dough on the baking sheet in a warm place until it doubles in size again, covered by a tea towel.

    Step 3

    Preheat the oven to 200°C. When the dough is nice and risen, carefully cut a criss-cross pattern on top (optional) and put in the preheated oven for 35mins or until brown and crispy. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
