Pasta with asparagus in a creamy tomato sauce

    Step 1

    Cook the pasta according to packet instructions.

    Step 2

    Cook the asparagus pieces in boiling water for a few mins until just tender; drain (If you are using asparagus from a jar or tin, you don’t have to cook it).

    Step 3

    Heat a non-stick pan and fry the bacon for 4 min until crispy.

    Step 4

    Add asparagus, tomato sauce and cream, stir well and simmer for 5 mins.

    Step 5

    Take off the heat, stir in the chopped parsley and pasta, season to taste and serve.
