Pasta alla campagnola

    Step 1

    Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet.

    Step 2

    Melt the butter in a small pan, add onion and courgette and gently cook for 10 mins until soft but not brown.

    Step 3

    Add flour and stir well, then slowly pour in the cream, stirring all the time.

    Step 4

    Mash the cheese with a fork and add to the sauce, bring to the boil and stir until the cheese melts.

    Step 5

    Add ham, season with salt and pepper and stir into the cooked pasta.
