Directions
Peel the potatoes and boil them until tender; drain and mash with milk and butter.
Heat the oil in a small pan, add onion and cook for 3-5 mins, then add to the potatoes.
Cook the peas in boiling water for 3 mins (or in a microwave), drain and add to the potatoes.
Stir in the beaten egg, ham, chives and half of the grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to a large shallow ovenproof dish greased with oil or butter, spread evenly and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Bake at 200°C/fan 180°C for approx 30 mins until golden. Serve with a side salad.
