Creamy vegan chickpeas and sauerkraut dinner

    Step 1

    Heat the oil in a small non-stick pan, add the onion and gently fry for about 5mins.

    Step 2

    Sprinkle in the flour and stir well.

    Step 3

    Slowly pour in the water while stirring to dissolve any lumps.

    Step 4

    Add chickpeas, sauerkraut, cream, dried garlic, smoked paprika and caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 10-15mins.

    Step 5

    Serve with potatoes, gnocchi or pasta.
