Almond and cherry cake




    Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C and line a base of a cake tin with baking paper.

    Step 2

    Beat the butter with the sugar in a bowl, then add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Step 3

    Add flour with baking powder, mix well.

    Step 4

    Stir in the ground almonds and cherries and transfer to the prepared cake tin.

    Step 5

    Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 mins.
